ZAFIRIS HATZIDIMITRIOU was born in Paleon Faliron, Athens in 1952. He studied at the University of Athens Law School (LL.B., summa cum laude, 1975), and received his Masters of Laws from New York University (LL.M., 1976). He trained with Poles, Tublin, Patestides and Stratakis in New York from 1976 to 1978. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 1978 and the Athens Bar in 1980. He was admitted to the Court of Appeals in 1985 and to the Supreme Court of Greece in 2002. He is currently a member of the New York State and Athens Bar Associations, the Association of Commercial Lawyers, the Maritime Law Association of the U.S., and the Greek Maritime Law Association. He practices Corporate, Commercial and M&A law and Shipping law. He speaks Greek and English.
